FastX Speeds up Linux Display for Home Workers

Santa Clara, CA- November 25, 2021

StarNet Communications Corp, (http://www.starnet.com) a leading publisher of remote Linux desktop solutions announced its engineers have developed new algorithms to improve remote Linux display performance for those working from home and suffering from limited bandwidth.

Bandwidth can be severely curtailed when various members of the family consume bandwidth with video games or watching movies with Prime, Netflix and others. That may not leave enough bandwidth for display 2D and 3D graphics intense Linux applications. As a result, users can experience delays in seeing their mouse and keyboard commands executed on the remote server and receiving back the resulting image.

The new RFX Progressive display protocol scans the user's available bandwidth and then adjusts image quality to ensure it fits. This reduces any delays (lags) between sending a mouse or keyboard command and seeing the resulting image or character.

Users can access the RFX Progressive option thru the Settings option in the Performance pull-down menu.
